Price of Money Money makes the world go round. Whether you have it or you don’t, its grasp is inescapable as is its power to determine our lives, thoughts and actions. Inspired by Aristophanes' Plutus, the first political satire from ancient Athens, The Staple of News, Ben Johnson's work on the emerging ethics of capitalism, and Get Outraged!, the inspirational text of 93-year-old Stéphane Hessel, which became the manifesto for the Occupy movement, Price of Money is a scathing attack on inequality and excess. Age Guidance: 14+ Reviews: ‘It is impossible to witness their shows and remain passive.’ Theatre Bubble Price of Money is ‘an impassioned call to arms – witty, sweaty and righteously angry. You should see it. Belarus Free Theatre is actually doing something. It is a bold force for good.’ Financial Times ‘Hard-hitting, comical and fast-paced… a work that is not afraid to pin its political colours to the mast.’ The Public Reviews Price of Money is ‘intense, poignant, at times funny, and always clever.’ News Shopper Tweets from our audience… Amnesty London @londonamnesty 16 Sep: “What is the real #PriceOfMoney? @BFreeTheatre have some pretty interesting answers as usual @TheAlbanySE8 http://bit.ly/1pumyUs.” Eirik Bar @eirikbar 22 Sep: “@BFreeTheatre #PriceOfMoney @TheAlbanySE8 an inspiringly mad, imaginatively political and fundamentally brilliant show!!
